The Day Dinh Shot My Pledge Bro
I know that maybe 98% of the people in APhiO right now (the other 2% being his sisters and old people) don’t really know the current namesake, so I decided I would tell some stories.
This is one of the many stories connected to the most epic Sneak ever. Mayen Sneak. Now, a lot of you know the story of how we planned it and double-crossing the actives and maybe even a little bit about our Sneak chair, Will Fraser. If not, well, maybe I’ll tell that story another time.
This story, however, focuses on a specific moment during the kidnapping phase of Sneak. Now, for the past couple of Sneaks, actives have been fairly docile when being kidnapped. No one brought scissors or knives. Or guns. When Mayens kidnapped our actives, those actives were decked out in ninja gear with ski masks, swords, straightjackets, and, apparently, airsoft guns.
My pledgebro, Tim, went to go and kidnap Dinh. Many of you may not know this, but Dinh is crazy. Fast forward a couple of hours, and he was sitting at the end location cutting about 20 zipties off of each wrist. Anyways, Tim went to tackle Dinh when the airsoft gun went off. Dinh had shot my pledgebro, and his only excuse? “I was getting kidnapped, and it just happened to be in my hand!” It was almost all over for Tim, but he rallied (as us Mayens always do), and went on kidnapping Dinh because he had a job to do.

The exaggerated version of this story:
Dinh had a real gun when he came to kidnap the Mayens, unaware that the Mayens were turning Snatch into Sneak. Tim bravely went to go and kidnap the crazy webmaster when Dinh shot him twice in the eyes. Unaware of his injuries and thinking only of succeeding in his mission, the true Mayen ran forward toward Dinh, capturing him with sheer willpower, knowing that he had a duty to his pledgebros, and he would never shirk that duty.
*This is also known as the story of “The reason why Tim has such small eyes.”
